Soft pink Alpaca gloves
These super soft luxury gloves are hand-dyed 100% Alpaca yarn, with no added wool, so they are ideal for people with sensitive skin. The design is a lacy cable on the back, and plain on the palm. They have a ribbed cuff to slip under your coat to keep the draughts out.
As usual I have used traditional knitting needles to create these gloves, not a machine. I use a technique called "knitting-in-the-round" so there are no ugly uncomfortable seams.
The gloves end in a band of rib, leaving your fingertips clear to use your phone or doorkey easily. They measure 21cm long including the cuff, 14cm for the hand section, and the knit is stretchy enough to fit most average adult hands. The sweet little “Roses Workshop” brand label is laser etched faux leather.
Alpaca are members of the same family as camels and llamas, however they are much gentler in nature. Their super-soft fleece is ideal for sensitive skin, even for people who are sensitive to sheep's wool.
Recently they have been brought to the UK, and farmed here successfully. I support these specialist farms by only using British Alpaca yarn rather than imports.
More gloves can be found in my shop at Gloves and Mittens.
