Hand-knit pure wool beanie hat
This unisex beanie hat is hand knit using a beautiful soft British wool from the Blue-faced Kerry Hill cross. A simple broad stripe design in muted orange and grey, colourful without being garish.
As usual I have used traditional knitting needles, not a machine. I use a technique called knitting "in-the-round" so there are no ugly or uncomfortable seams. To fit average adult head size 55-60cm and slightly stretchy for a comfortable fit. The sweet little "Roses Workshop" brand label is laser etched faux leather.
Wool is a truly sustainable material, growing naturally as the sheep's winter coat then removed for the summer and passed to us. When we have finished using it, wool biodegrades in soil or water. The wool that I use is locally grown British wool, so supporting British farmers too.
